Rodan And Fields - Problem with my R+F rep
My friend (not super close friend, but we have many close friends in common) convinced me to start ordering Rodan and Fields products from her. Itโs a nice product and controls my skincare issues fairly well.
However, I made the mistake of agreeing to an automatic ordering schedule.
I get (pay for) too much product. I can ask her to delay a shipment, which is good, but I still find a little goes a long way. I have asked her three times explicitly and clearly in writing to take me off the automatic ordering altogether, and she does not respond directly to these texts, or she responds with โsure, I can DELAY that order for youโ (not what I asked her to do). I most often just get a generic email from Rodan and Fields saying my automatic order has been delayed a month; NOT that I have gone off the automatic ordering altogether as I asked to do.
Itโs the elephant in the room in our friendship.
At some point I am going to have to call her and straighten this out. Is it the policy of Rodan and Fields to tell its consultants to passively ignore the ordering requests of their customers?
Has anyone else had this Kafka-esque experience with their R+F rep? What can I say to her to preserve our friendship but STOP the automatic ordering?
Reason of review: Poor customer service.

If she "takes you off of autoship" and you intend to ever use the products again, you will have to pay retail price or pay another $19.95 fee to reactivate your PC account to get the 10% discount AND free shipping. She is actually SAVING you money.
For instance: Reverse +$190 retail + tax + shipping, and Reverse PC is $171 + tax.and NO we do not have script to turn you into a consultant. I actually make more money off of my loyal customers, than the consultants under me. The program is structured that way.
You don't have to sponsor a SINGLE to consultant to make money is this biz. You can make a ton on your own merit.
Cough cough::{{Redacted}}:: cough coughIf she was saving her money, and her her best interest in mind, the consutlant should explain what would happen If she went off.And also BS โyou make more money with signing up a consultant and then encouraging her to start her own branch of the treeโ-of which you benefit from that entire string or team. And you are not allowed to talk about making โ a tonโ of money. Didnโt you get the memo?
Thatโs illegal.
Itโs โfun moneyโ. Canโt talk about trips, cars or give the appearance of executive level income anymoreโ-bc itโs fraudulent, according to the FCC.
I believe that you can contact customer service and request that you no longer want to be a preferred customer. You should also be able to simply log on to your R + F repโs website (you have your own email and login for it, even if she didnโt tell you), and you can opt out of being a PC, yourself.
To obtain your email and login info, you may be able to go through customer service for this, as well. Many consultants prefer not to give this info to their clients because they risk letting the client have too much control of his/her own account (which I just found wrong and one of the many reasons I am no longer with this company).
Customer Service is generally very helpful, though, so, I would go to them first. You may also try contacting your repโs direct upline and letting her/him know that she isnโt doing an appropriate job for you.
If she takes you off autoship she will lose your purchase as part of her โPSQVโ.If you purchase at retail she does not get the extra commission on your product. It is part of the convoluted way that this company does business.
Ugh. Thanks Dorothy.
What does PSQV stand for? Will she get any commission at all if I go off autoship?
Personally Sponsored Qualified Volume. She will make a profit on any retail sale, just not the extra commission. However, that is not your problem; it isnโt your job to buy from her in the way she wants you too. This explains why she ignores your request to stop the autoship and instead insists on delaying the PC order. There are lots of other great products out there that you can purchase when YOU are ready.
Additionally when you are a PC (preferred customer) they have different scripts to get you to become a consultant and then you go into her downlink, which is also why she wants to keep you as a PC. They more loyal you are to the product, the more likely you are to be a consultantโbigger discounts for consultant price vs PC vs retai.Say you went to a restaurant and you asked them not to bring the bread basket.
But the server not only brought it, but when you asked to have it removed, they ignored you. And took it away, only to to return, or they never brought a bread basket and you asked for one and were ignored. Repeatedly during your meal. Butโ-you loved the meal?
Would you Return? Good friend, fringe friend or strangerโthis is a service she is providing. And frankly sheโs a out for her best interest, not your as her client and customer.
Dump her. But if you love the products and try to go to another consultant, RF willMake you re register as a PC and you have to pay the PC fee over again.
Sounds like a lot of unnecessary BS...anyways there's a lot better products out there with less chemicals and far better results in the long run. RF sucks period.
Save yourself from future headaches and cancel now. Its only going to get worse and you'll end up cancelling anyways and be even more frustrated. Best to tear off the band-aid quickly and lessen the pain.
