NONRETURNABLE??

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased the products, Lash Booster and Soothe products for my 78-year old mother to try because she is so worried about her looks (BTW she's GORGEOUS and looks like she's 50!!). I specifically asked my representative REPEATEDLY if the products were refundable, "Yes for 60 days" was the response.

I said, "Even if I sign up as a distributor?" "Yes for 60 days" was the response. She then told me that she had purchased a rather large kit with some of the products in it that I was going to order for my MOTHER (additionally I ordered $400+ for myself) and that I could "help" her out by buying hers. My mother has chronic dry-eye and her homeopathic AND her PCP AND her eye specialist have all told her that she is to use NO products on her face/eyes because of her condition (which could make her go blind). I repeatedly texted/Facebook PMed/called my rep and they weren't available to address any situations.

Finally I just said, "I'm returning everything from mom." Not surprisingly, the phone begins ringing and they're magically available. Sorry, I don't play like that -- it's unprofessional and shows no level of concern for your clients. We ARE returning the products; HOWEVER, now the lady wants to give me a guilt-trip because "those were my personal products and I can't return them or get my money back." Well honey, maybe you should have said that BEFORE you sold them to me.

You didn't. I expect a full refund.

Some *** consultants give the company a bad rep but that doesn't define the company or all consultants within. I've had incredible customer service I've received refunds on two separate regimens that I bought for family members one was used completely and the other was used twice but there was no questions asked and my Consultant handled everything.

The only reason these products were returned and refunds were requested was because one was my aunt who just didn't like the multi-step process and the other was because my sister claimed she didn't notice a difference in her wrinkles but four months later people have told her that her skin looks so much younger and firmer and I've personally heard her say "thanks I tried Rodan and Fields you should try it" so I think she pulled a fast one... But all in all incredible experience with them but from experience in DS- purchasing from a reputable Consultant makes all the difference and you need to be sure you have someone who knows the value of customer service who isn't necessarily a "seller" but a "consultant" in the true meaning of the word.

I am a consultant, and I would never do that to someone! I'm horrified for you, I'm so sorry that happened.

Guest

Your 100% able to return the products. Sorry your consultant lied to you, that makes the rest of us look bad.

60 days to return weather your a consultant or a customer.

Sometimes they will give you a little longer than 60 days too. Corporate would even schedule fed ex to pick it up for you at no charge.

Bull ***. R&f claims they did not get the package back and are not refunding my 300. Dollars.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1313936

Did you track the package. If so, you have proof of delivery.

If not, well....you should have.

I personally don't believe it.

R&F is very reputable, they back their products and they honour their very generous return policy. After researching some of the claims, most are found to be BS.

Did you know that according to the ICCA Global Petition Against MLM, a common practice by MLM companies is:

Delaying or making it difficult for participants to stop charges to their credit cards for “auto-orders” and making return of goods contingent on quitting the business and losing accrued payments.

Your issue seems to be consistent with many.

Guest

Welcome to the world of Rodan and Fields. Do and say anything to get the sale, and then come up with all sorts of excuses not to refund the merchandise if you are unsatisfied.

All MLMs operate this way.

Threaten to sue the rep if you don't get your money back. That usually works.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1311205

Threatening to sue is one tactic. I say sue the rep and that will work for you and several others.

Good Luck to you and spread the word. It's time we stop this scheme that is ruining friendships & family relationships.

Lash Boost DOES NOT WORK!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The Rodan+Fields lash boost does not work. I sincerely tried it with high hopes from my evil seller that I can not stand.

She eats pizza potato chips and drinks 10 cans of Coke a day but this is the "seller" selling garbage in my territory. There is no prescription for the last boost, I followed the directions with extreme care and stuck to it every single day. I know a lot about lashes and they have a life cycle, they fall out in like 3 weeks and regrow. By the way Dr.

Rodan and Dr. Fields are not well thought by peers that get 5 star ratings, I found that out and thought 'well, they fail at pleasing patients so they created a product and put their name on it, that's okay with me. They are not the Beverly Hills MD who gets 5 stars on both. R and F lash boost is $145, the seller tried to tell me it was $165 until I found out differently.

You can make it yourself! Castor oil (hexane), biotin and pantho.acid aka B5. Don't waste your money people!

Rodan Fields is like Amway here today gone tomorrow for the gullible people that fall for everything! I am going to go with another seller, what a sham

during this pandemic and stressful time I lost all my eyelashes on one eye---used the lash boost and within weeks they were back fuller and thicker. Now i can choose to wear mascara if i want to. great stuff and cheaper then getting the lash extensions!,

Guest

Fell lucky it didn’t work. I just read a bunch of reviews from people that tried it and wound up with facial hair on their cheekbones and hairier eyebrows. My suggestion is stay far away.

Guest

I also tried this lash serum and am on week 5 with zero additional growth! Total waste of money

Guest

The person who reviewed this product just sounds like an angry person. I have an awesome representative from Rodan and Fields and all the products of use I’ve loved especially the lash boost!!

I’m lucky i guess, my lashes responded in two weeks and I’ve been using it for over three years now. I only buy it once a year now...it’s all I need to maintain their length. People are always asking me if my lashes are fake.

Guest

Well it must have been the “seller’s” poor diet that caused the lash boost not to work (note sarcasm) Maybe it didn’t work because you are an ugly person inside and out. You are the evil and rude one to bring up her diet. Grow up!

Guest

Why didn't you use the 60-day empty bottle money back return guarantee and send it back for your refund if it didn't work??

Guest

I think the active ingredient is Isopropyl Cloprostenate. Check out the ingredient list and then look it up online. I am surprised that they are able to use the ingredient without FDA approval

Guest

I'm 50 years old and I've been using a little over a month. My lashes are thicker and so long I actually bought clear mascara today as I don't need to use real mascara for everyday anymore (bc the lashes hit my upper eyelid leaving mascara marks). Sorry it didn't work for you

Guest

I started using Lash boost at Christmas and the results are amazing!! My lashes are longer, no more broken lashes!

Truly a great product. Now using on my eyebrows!

Unbelievable growth! Luv this product!

Rodan and Fields Return Policy

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had signed up for the Preferred Customer program to obtain a better price and shipping cost. Unfortunately, you are on an auto ship, which caused me to receive more product then needed.

I decided to return the redefine cleanser and upon asking my consultant, I was emailed a link to Rodan and Field's return authorization form. I filled the form out to their specifications and mailed the return, first class mail. The cost of the return is on the customer, so I unfortunately did not pay to track the package, which was valued at $38. My mistake, two weeks later when I had not heard from the company, I emailed and was told they had no record of the return and would not issue a refund.

Their customer service is terrible. I believe it is ridiculous that a customer has to pay to return a product, instead of returning it though a consultant to begin with and then, in order to protect yourself, you must pay additional money to ensure that they will actually issue the refund. I also took note that on their return page, they indicate that if you do not follow the return directions to their specifications, they will discard the returned product and not issue a refund.

Not very user friendly at all. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I purchased Roden-Fields product hoping to get rid of my wrinkles The products were great! But I still have wrinkles.

Oh well. I think they have great customer service! Kim D, was my consultant. She was very sincere about the product not working out for me.

She told me to return all the items within the 60-days.

I did that and received a full refund really quick! I would recommend this product to my friends even though I didnt get the results I wanted.

Guest

I also ordered from Rodan and Fields and had the same experience. The site was incredibly hard to figure out.

Even my consultant did not seem to know how to navigate it. The wrong product was ordered. Instead of being able to exchange I had to mail the order back wait to be refunded and then try to order again. I never received any communication that my return was being processed.

Finally calling about 3 weeks later I was told they were still working on it. Still no communication and I called again another 2 weeks later. I was told because I had kept the lash boost out of the order that no refund was being credited. 320ish dollars plus the cost of returning the product plus the cost of insuring the return.

And if I hadn't called they would have just kept all my money. I'm so pissed! I was planning to order an even more expensive package, but have now canceled my membership and will not use this company again.

Yet to be determined if this money is ever credited. I am left with no product and no money!

Guest

I, for one, think R+F has fantastic customer service! They have replaced products for free if something breaks and returned anything sent back within their 60 day window for a full refund.

If you sent something of value in the mail and are looking to place blame on the company that didn't receive it you're obviously of the thinking it is "always someone else's fault." Live and learn, and insure a package for what it is worth next time. If you can buy $300 in skin care products you can afford $7 extra to insure its safe return. And, maybe you should blame the postal service you trusted for losing the product in the first place? I don't think R+F, a billion dollar company, is looking to rip you off of your measly $300 and to go on social media claiming such is whiney and pathetic.

If you have a tracking number than it is the postal services job to find it. Not R+F's.

And, for the grammar police comment, you are obviously bored and mean. Your rude comment about her poor use of grammar is both disrespectful and useless.

I was planning to join this company as an consultant, but I changed my mind after reading this comment. I assume you are probably working for this company or maybe you are one of the consultants, but my question is that aren’t you supposed to help these unsatisfied customers?

But instead you are making this very rude comment about their truth reviews. This is very disturbing and I am very glad I didn’t join this company.

Guest

Having exact same issue. I had to send back all packaging as well so my cost to ship regular mail was 12 dollars itself so I did not get a tracking number since i have NEVER had a problem mailing things my entire life.

My order total was almost 300 dollars.

It's been over a month and they said they dont have the package and their is nothing they can do for me. Unreal.

Guest

I'm having a similar experience but to the tune of $383 WITH a tracking number. This company is the worst and I will be contacting my AG's office.

Jakeline Ahl

Your consultant is a *** with very poor customer service. If you are not willing to provide excellent customer service, this is NOT the right job for your consulutant.

Guest

Oops a portion of my comment got cut off. Here's the beginning...

That's unfortunate. I've returned products using USPS 1st class and Priority and have had no issue. Priority is 2 day and 1st class is 3 day.

Both give you $50 worth of insurance and a tracking number included in the price. Never over $10 especially for just one item.

Guest

and Priority and have had no issue. Priority is 2 day and 1st class is 3 day.

As far as your autoship is concerned it's rediculously easy to delay only takes two clicks and you're sent reminders prior to shipment. So you're never caught off gaurd.

Perhaps those reminders got sent to your spam?

I'm very happy with the customer service and have never had nothing but positive results. BTW yes it stinks to have to pay your own return but you do get a 60 day money back gurentee which is pretty fantastic and totally worth the tradeoff.

You are left with a ton of expensive brightener and sunscreen. If R&F was better than other products it would be competing with other high end products in the retail space.

But, the reality is they tried to compete and failed miserably. The question is why would someone want to buy several hundred dollars of skin care product from a rep who doesn't know much about skin or care. Dept store reps are trained to help you buy products that work for you. Your "friend" is just looking to make money off of you.

So, just stop the nonsense. Stop buying expensive skincare products from someone who wouldn't know the difference between good and bad products.

STOP. Let's hope this MLM meets the same fate as 99% of all MLMs and fades in 2017 and we get our friends back.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1252617

That comment is factually inaccurate. I worked for years as a sales manager in the boutique beauty division at Nordstrom's where I first learned of this brand.

It was in major high end retail and was the best selling anti aging line in the store. It's metrics outperformed all other premium brands (it is in the premium category and is now ranked above Lancôme, Lauder and Clinique who are it's competition. The founders chose to exit retail when it became apparent that their sales results were the result of word of mouth sharing between friends and nothing the stores were responsible for. The decision to pull out of high end retail had nothing to do with performance, because they were cleaning up.

It was to be able to capitalize on the word of mouth that was responsible for its success. My sister worked behind their counter and knows nothing about skincare. Apparently the founders wanted customers to have a more personalized customer experience which more closely mimicked what patients had in their offices: one person overseeing your care and who has a vested interest in your satisfaction. As one who used to staff the beauty counters, none of them have skincare experience and they rotate across the counters with no affiliation to any.

The R+F counter was different. It staffed and trained its own and it was always the same staff. That's the personal approach they wanted. It's remarkable how them not being in the retail sphere gets twisted.

Retail is dying. Their online platform was right on the cusp of online shopping and was probably extremely smart.

Other high end brands will follow them. You can guarantee Lancôme, Ester Lauder and others are paying attention!

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1254427

Your reply is the most verbose line of vs that anyone could write or find on any site. You say your sister worked their counter and knew nothing about skincare.

A few sentences later, you write that R&F trained and staffed their own counters. So, what is it. Both sentences can't be right. They failed period!

The metrics were their revenue just couldn't grow. They could not compete in the legit world of retail. So, they went the MLM route of getting desperate people to be their consultants with their warm lists of friends and relatives to scam. R&F is not ranked higher than Ester; Clinique or other name brands.

In the latest dermatological review R$F was ranked 27th.

If R&F is so good and so successful, why do 99% of all consultants fail? You are a consultant trying to justify your game.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1254427

Your response is totally long winded with no facts to support your hypothesis. R&F failed in retail or would still be there.

R&F is failing in the MLM world because it is an overpriced product whose consultants know very little about skincare.

You say they train their consultants but the reality is that anyone willing to pay for a kit can be a consultant. What is your monthly income for scamming your friends and relatives?

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1254427

Cleaning up huh? Do you know what their annual revenue was in 2002 & 2003 or 2007 when they were desperate enough to go the MLM route?

Their revenue was only a few hundred million just a few years ago when the high end products you mentioned were in the billions.

I think your whole, long post is "factually inaccurate". So, did you sell VEMMA or Visalus before?

reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1254427

I am a preferred customer and really am pleased with the products I use. My only complaint is with the packaging. Starting w/the eye cream. The label suggests keeping the thin disc that is under the lid. Fine, but couldn't a small tab be added so that the struggle to peel off the disc be eliminated? Small details. Also flip lids on the tubes of face creams. Both of these small packaging improvements would be much more user friendly.

The only problem with flip lids would be leakage. I travel a lot and flip lids on anything tend to leak.

Since you are an independent business owner, just change the packaging. You may want to change the price, too, to gain a pricing advantage over your competitors.

Since the products are all amazing and awesome, there is no need to change the product.

Some of these "teams" are absolutely terrible with their daily bombardment of Social media with their constant posts of "join my team" and "start your own business". My friends team of Vita & Rian & Fran & others aren't too bad (Fran gets a little overbearing some days with multiple posts). They do play games with their before & after pics. What kind of customer service rep says that?!? Horrible experience, still waiting for my refund. I was elated to finally find a product that I thought would do what I always wanted it to do, reverse the signs of uneven skin or fade the sunspots. Well this regimen doesn't do any of that and I have been using it for a while.

Nothing has changed on my face and the same sunspot has been on my face from the very moment I started using this stuff and has not faded in any such way and it is not worth the amount of money they want you to spend on a product they advertise is the best around. Then they send you emails saying they are sending more and need your authorization. There is no way I will authorize anyone to send me a product that has done nothing for me. The consultant doesn't even call or text to check up on you and how the product is working.

That is another thing. Customer service is about helping the customer with 100% satisfaction.

If you don't have that then why are you in the business of selling a product that doesn't work. I think most of these consultants are about how much they can make and not about how they can help the customer.

I'm just a customer who uses Reverse and it has worked wonders for me. I used obagi first and it did nothing for me and cost a lot more.

I'm not sure if you just had a lot more sun damage or what but this worked for me and I absolutely love it and tell everyone about it. It has also worked for my friends too so not sure why it didn't work for me but possibly because you didn't work it like you should.

Guest

Your concern over customer service is the amazement it could be purposed that way?

Because the doctors vould not be bothered with caring and spending for their customers— too cheap.

So they let amateurs— no background checks, sell it BECUSE THERE IS NO ACCOUNTABILTY OR RESPONSIBLITY.

It si a game of legal ping pong between the pages of thecontract.

And finally you just didnot read and follow directions— if all else fails!

Consider yourself lucky to not have ruined skin. Intensifies aging.

Do your research lady because the doctors still practice and they have the number 1 practice in San Francisco. If the products didn't work they wouldn't be a billion dollar company for 3 years in a row and continue to grow.

Get your facts straight first before you go running your mouth. Not to mention, they have a 1% return rate for a billion dollar company so do the math!

Guest

I think you had a bad experience because you happened upon a bad cunsultant. You also had 60 days to return your products...if you were so darn unhappy you should have done so.

Each individual is different.

When you said you used the products "a long time", you failed to specify how long. I'm sorry you were unhappy.....but again you had the 60 day money back guarantee and perhaps you could have emailed your consultant for advice....

Lol, someone's clearly a consultant. If you really do your research you'll find tons of other reviewers with the same story.

As far as the refund goes, you'll also find stories from people who returned the products within the 60 days and never received a dime.

These products are from the same people who created proactiv. I don't trust it.

Gotta looove the “i am sooo sooorry for you, hun” but we keep the money.

Get that straight.

The consultant aint worth nothing. She is not paid or teained, so why should she care more than the doctors.

She is an amateur—she is only working the busines— whatever that means??

Read the directions.

Then read the ingredients list, and r.u.n.

I wish I read this review before ordering ... I ordered the essential sunscreen for $24 and was never given a total so I assumed maybe $6 at the most to ship an item that weighs less than a pound.

NOPE. $11.50 for S&H. What an absolute rip off. I will never buy a product again.

Such a joke. I didn't think a friend would rip me off, but I guess people who sell this stuff are in it for themselves. Lesson learned, make sure you get the bottom line cost! I know it sounds like common sense, but again, this is a friend selling the products so I never thought to question it.

Ps. These products are no better than what you buy on store shelves!!!

Shipping is $9 - $13 depending on the size: it’s a flat fee. Consultant who orders the stuff has to pay for S&H too.

Also you need to pay for tax which is dependent on the city you live in. FYI Retail price for sunscreen is $26. If you’re signed up as a Preferred Customer then you get 10% off. Shipping is only free on orders that’s $80 and above for Preferred Customer.

Consultant do not get free shipping on any of their purchases. If you have questions on the total cost, I recommend you bring it up to your consultant to break down the cost for you.

I’ve shipped out a package for one of my customer, a small one, through FEDEX and it costs me over $15.

I saw no improvements with this skin care line that is WAY OVER PRICED!! My goodness it is like a car note or a month's worth of groceries etc. I feel so *** for joining. But I longed for clear skin after fighting acne my entire life.

I used the proactive and proactive plus years ago and it worked better than this stuff. Clinique acne works just fine for me.

I hate that I spent that money, but there is nothing I can do about it now. Just feel so foolish.

I had a consultant add me on Facebook (mutual friend). Months go by & she did not contact me. I met her at a party and she wanted to hang out with me.

I thought she wanted to be friends, and I hung out with her more than I should have. I was lead to believe we were friends and in the same boat of not having friends, but really, she just wanted to recruit me (Marketing degree and I work at a bigger company in our city. I can see why...)

It was very obvious her intentions when I had a minor surgery and a day later she said "hope you're doing great !!! (Insert copy and pasted Rodan and Fields BS). Couldn't even pretend to care about me for a minute or two.

All of their Facebook posts are copy and pasted from Facebook groups. The pictures are altered with lighting and sometimes photoshop (make skin look worse)

My "friend" is better than most consultants, I'll give her that. But to make it to the top you have to have to see everyone as an opportunity. Absolutely horrible.

This is yet another sad R+F Story. The tactic you are describing with meeting the girl and thinking she actually wanted to be your friend is what they actually want you to do....make x amount of new contacts in a week....make your circle bigger.....look at friends of friends.

basically stalk people you don't even know and pretend that you want to befriend them just to get them to buy *** products. BEWARE.....RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

There are some before/after pictures where the before lighting is terrible and the after lighting is obviously better and makeup was most likely being used. Anyone would look horrible in that "lighting." Another one, a woman so obviously looks like she's had a facelift.

Not even prescription creams can remove baggy skin from your throat area. Skin doesn't go away unless it is cut and removed. You can lose weight and the skin may firm up a bit from the lack of fat underneath if you lose the weight slow enough.

These obviously dishonest photos being passed around and the annoying way sales people generally operate will keep me from joining any of these companies. Oh, how I miss the good ol' days of Facebook where people actually used it to socialize and catch up!

Hi, I am a consultant and that sort of thing makes me mad. That is how I was recruited as well, but I realized it too late.

I had already been using the products as well. The reason I am staying with the company right now is because I love the products and have helped a couple of people with painful sensitive skin. As far as photoshop and lighting, Photoshop is absolutely not allowed and sometimes lighting is different in pictures because you have customers who take pictures sometimes when they remember or at a different time of day. We do advise the same lighting.

I have seen amazing results by people I know. I have seen the products work on my children, me, my family, and friends.

I do not have any business partners and I don't plan to unless someone asks me about it. I am not ready for that and don't want to make people feel the way you feel or the way I felt.

It's pretty rude. I know it's just sales, but that's not in my character.

But it's not "sales" according to others which is frustrating because yes, it is. The plus to the business aspect is you don't have to sell if you don't want to and can receive a discount on products.

Thank you ! I'm glad you're not like other consultants.

I wish you the best success !

Sounds kinda paranoid to me. Trust is an important part of a successful friendship.

Not paranoid at all. After two months her intentions were pretty clear.

When you get surgery and that person does not care but continues to spout her MLM, it's obvious.

I'm another fool to order from a friend! I hate the Facebook stalking too.

She mistakenly signed me up for repeat custermer what ever special name for that... Anyway I told her I wanted just the acne cream.

Tried it my face exploded with very red welts almost like cysts under my skin, itchy and painful. Eyes sullen really bad.

On third day of this.

Wish I never bought R snd F. Simply aweful!

The negative comments on here are disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Clearly you were not educated properly on these products.

Hello Consultants never educated Because They are not Doctors.

Guest

Doubt your friend "mistakingly" signed you up as a preferred customer. I think a good alternative would be to stalk them back on social media.

Don't worry about losing a friend. If she put making a buck a higher priority than your friendship, she was not a good friend anyway.

I was thinking that as well, i.e., it was no mistake she was signed up as a preferred customer.

Buy your skincare in a store with a real person educated in skincare! You can try it and walk away without spending a dime.

If you like it you can go back and buy it ! And the consultant earns her money honestly

Same thing happened to my face. Now i have 3 red spots that looks like it got burnt, then followed by blisters, next step would be throwing this regimen in the garbage. Thanks to your pushy consultant/friend

Guest

Me too! Just started using it 3 weeks ago and have had to stop due to blisters/burns on my forehead!!

Guest

Me too! A friend convinced me to try it.She was selling it and assured me it was safe.

I didn't know about the ingredients that are banned in California!

My dermatologist reprimanded me and couldn't even treat me, other than to give me IS Clinical to heal my inflamed face. It worked, thank goodness.

Never again!
