I am a preferred customer and really am pleased with the products I use. My only complaint is with the packaging. Starting w/the eye cream. The label suggests keeping the thin disc that is under the lid. Fine, but couldn't a small tab be added so that the struggle to peel off the disc be eliminated? Small details. Also flip lids on the tubes of face creams. Both of these small packaging improvements would be much more user friendly.

The only problem with flip lids would be leakage. I travel a lot and flip lids on anything tend to leak.

Since you are an independent business owner, just change the packaging. You may want to change the price, too, to gain a pricing advantage over your competitors.

Since the products are all amazing and awesome, there is no need to change the product.

Besides I assume you are not a world renown Dr. The 3 Ps of Product and Market Management that all good business owners try to follow.

I used Rodan and Fields reverse and ended up with severe skin dandruff and burnt skin due to too severe chemicals. I've been seeing my dermatologist and trying to fix my skin for over 8 months. The consultants have no training and just sell to make money and have no idea about what products they should recommend. I will never use any of these products again

Great products! there will always be some people that won't like it

Thank you for your honest response. I tried the lash boost and fell in love with it! Asked my daughter's friend (my consultant) if she had anything for dark spots, so I started using the REVERSE and had remarkable results after only 3 weeks. I saw my hair stylist this past week and she immediately noticed how different my skin looked and asked me what I am doing different. We discussed R & F and I decided to buy a business kit but haven't had a chance to share the products. I was in another MLM and loved the products, but my consultant was not helpful at all and although I did make money, I became disappointed in the effort vs compensation. However, that being said, I am not sure whether my hair stylist will work the business or sell the products. I am taking a wait and see attitude right now but I know that the products work and that the company and my consultant have not been pushy

Many "consultants" sign-up to get the discounted product. I believe only 42% of consultants earn a paycheck but this is b/c they choose not to sell.

I am a consultant and definitely am not blinded by all the hype. I know if anyone wants to make money in any sales position, it is a long row to ***. Rodan & Fields products work, are they for everyone, doubt it; however, I personally love it and so do the repeat customers I have. Do I buy product, yes, I give away thank you gifts to my preferred customers.

The product is very reasonable if you breakdown the cost vs the length of time the product lasts. The results vary based on the users skin condition, age, genes, if they follow the instructions, etc. You can always go the way of one of my sisters, she is perfectly happy with Dial soap, sun spots and age spots.

I'm higher maintenance and I will fight the signs of aging as long as I can and Rodan and Fields is working for me. I'm one of 14 kids so I have plenty of people to compare to with like genes, sun time, etc.

No one is more close minded than an MLM rep. They have bought the bs hook Lind and sinker and will try to make it work for a year or so before they admit that it's not working for them.

Actually, I have no stars blinding me, I didn't and don't buy into all the hype. Still have all my friends and family intact!

Trust me, one of 14 kids, I know how to work and expect nothing to fall in my lap. I don't expect to become rich, I sell Rodan & Fields bc I used the product, I love the products, I trust the organization, I have seen it make a difference and bc I like to help people. I guess it depends on why a person desires to work at any job. If anyone buys into the hype, they probably don't want to "work", trust me, this job as in any sales job takes a lot of work and very thick skin.

You get way more rejections than customers.

It is a tough business getting people to change skincare products. Take care and please don't paint all of us with the same brush.

I believe this official review more than I believe a consultant or a pissed consumer.

Depends if you are talking about the skincare line or sales. As of December, per Corporate, Rodan and Fields sales were rising to be Number One Premium Skincare Line in the US. Currently Clinique is number one and Rodan and Fields were close to overcoming Clinique's revenue.

So let's think about his for a minute. According to R&F, they were the #2 Premium Skincare brand in the US based on reports from Euromonitor International.

They had revenues of $627 million. Sounds impressive unless you use some logic, which most MLMers don't do. How much of that $627 million came from purchases made by consultants? A lot I would guess.

And many of those consultant purchases are required until they bring in a certain amount of sales. But no one knows for sure what percentage of R&Fs revenue is consultant purchases because R&F doesn't disclose that information. MLMs are a shady business all around, and getting to the bottom of their real numbers is nearly impossible.

Are they the #2 premium skincare line base on revenue? Technically yes.

But only because they require the majority of their sales people to buy the product, buy starter kits at upwards of $1,000, buy samples to give away, pay to attend conferences, etc.

She mistakenly signed me up for repeat custermer what ever special name for that... Anyway I told her I wanted just the acne cream.

Tried it my face exploded with very red welts almost like cysts under my skin, itchy and painful. Eyes sullen really bad.

On third day of this.

Wish I never bought R snd F. Simply aweful!

I feel the same way. My consultant waived the 19.95 one time joining fee, so I feel obligated to refund her that before when I let her know I will no longer be a pc.

I saw no improvements with this skin care line that is WAY OVER PRICED!! My goodness it is like a car note or a month's worth of groceries etc. I feel so *** for joining. But I longed for clear skin after fighting acne my entire life.

I used the proactive and proactive plus years ago and it worked better than this stuff. Clinique acne works just fine for me.

I hate that I spent that money, but there is nothing I can do about it now. Just feel so foolish.

It seems logical to me that the only only person who would get up at 6:00 AM to post a glowing report on a posted consumer site would be an R&F consultant! Makes sense that this poster is a money grabbing rep vs a real consumer. I just can't imagine that anyone would get up early and go to a pissed consumer site to post a good review.

Sorry for your negative experience. Did you discuss results with your consultant and did she discuss your results with the Rodan and Fields Nurse Line?

I am a consultant for Rodan and Fields personally using the Redefine Age Assault and I am loving the results. I wish folks wouldn't post anonymously, it doesn't give the company a chance to make things right by you.

Talk to your consultant, she has a list of all ingredients and access to the Nurse Line. You may be allergic to one of the ingredients.

Rodan + Fields are one of the top providers of skin care products today! Pricing is comparable to many high-end regimens in stores and I found results to be more immediate than those products! I primarily use the Redefine and Soothe regimens with excellent results! And no issues with customer service either. Not sure how you can go wrong with products that are actually created and well-tested by licensed dermatologists!

The cold reality is that the only R&F consultants that are even a little successful are those with no conscience. They can take money from friends and relatives - even those that can't afford it - under the promise of beauty & money and sleep at night. Everyone should realize that unless they are the 1% that will make a profit, they will lose money on products that may or not work.

And, almost all will have less friends. Very sad indeed.

R+F: my review

I have been an R+F Consultant for 10 months. During this time I've had only one PC return an item, and everything went very smooth. Other than than, I've had very satisfied customers that love the results they see. I don't argue that some consultants my act pushy, greedy or insensitive. I'm sorry to those that have had bad experiences. I personally manage my PC accounts and have never hesitated to postpone an order when someone's not ready, or failed to adjust their cart as they've requested. R+F is my "side gig"; I also work full time as a recruiter for a national retailer. Having hired thousands of sales people over the years, I know that "one bad apple" can really harm the bunch. Please know that not all of us are bad. The vast majority of us care about you, your skin and hope you have great success using this product.

I truly am what I say I am. I'm affiliated with R+F bc I believe in their products.

They may not be for everyone; however, I am personally seeing great results on the customers who purchase thru me. I have no plans to push anything, I plan to grow slowly and methodically and do what makes sense to help others with their skincare. Even my sister/best friend who I discussed previously using Dial soap, no kidding, that's all she uses and doesn't use lotion. Makes me itch just thinking about it but she is set in her ways and doesn't care for change.

I respect her wishes and do not try to sell R+F to her.

I only want to work with customers who want to work with me.

This perfectly explains one of the biggest problems with MLMs. Anyone can do it.

R&F has no control over the hiring or firing process. This means if you are genuinely a good person with good intentions, your reputation is tied to the dishonest, pushy, manipulating consultants whether you like it or not. Traditional companies fire bad employees to protect their reputation.

It's a must for success. MLM's can't fire bad employees and are stuck with the results.

If an R+F consutant is pushy, rude, unprofessional, etc, the Company won't have to worry about firing them, it will happen naturally. That's the beauty of MLM, if you are not professional with great customer service, you end up without customers.

Not sure what world you are living in, but I know many women who have sold R&F for years, making a few hundred dollars each month (off of mostly family members), who are so desperate for success that they result to very unethical behavior. They make just enough off of family and friends to keep the dream alive, and then become more desperate as the years pass. It's quite sad and hardly the "beauty of MLM".

I've been a consultant with R+F for over a year now and haven't experienced any of the issues people are so fired up about. I've had maybe 2 out of 50 customers choose to return products, and both of those returns went seamlessly. I've never had a bad experience, nor been told by one of my customers that they had a bad experience, while dealing with customer service. And I've yet to have friends and family block me, call me out, run the other way, disown me, etc. Now granted, I do believe strongly in touching base with people while not hounding, and I definitely believe in remaining genuine and authentic in all aspects of your life, especially in an environment of direct sales such as this. Those who are not in favor are definitely entitled to their opinion, but to make such statements as "they are desperate and under-educated" just speaks to how little you actually know of this company and those who have chosen to take advantage of an opportunity that,like it or not, is actually providing people with financial freedom and time freedom. I find it so interesting and unfortunate that some people will always find any opportunity to bash the success of others.

I think most of the posts here are genuine and relate a true story. Meanwhile, nobody has ever said that 100% fail. Well done! Maybe you can find more people like you who will drive the success of your team.

And, in turn, you will help another person be successful. Too many consultants rush to add to their downline and sign up the wrong people.

That drives early growth but not much success and then the consultants fail and the team takes a hit.

It's called social commerce... why do you think Blockbuster has all but vanished, yet Netflix is thriving; why are department stores closing every day, while Amazon is booming; why are brick and mortar businesses shutting their doors after being open for decades, while online shopping continually grows.

R+F is shifted their model with the changing times because that's smart business.

How can a company go from $3 million in revenue to almost $1 billion in revenue in just 8 years, receive accolades and rave reviews from the likes of Harvard School of Business, Forbes Magazine, and countless other business and beauty expert publications, yet be selling BS products?

It's not drinking the kool-aid, it's recognizing an unprecedented opportunity and going for it.

Phoenix, please post all of these so called endorsements. The Harvard Business Review did not say Rodan & Fields was once in a lifetime, it was a study of all MLMs all longtime ago and was general attributes.

It also said you need to get in on the ground floor. By your own account, RF is WAY past ground floor. The study now is outdated. The company makes most of its money off of consultants buying stuff for themselves.

Forbes was a sponsored article, along with most other articles that were out there. You are making the case for Marlton and others due to your lack of knowledge or you are just simply trying to scam people reading posts on this site. I know first-hand that there are very few people making a real living off as part of the 1B the company is supposedly making each year.

Just be honest with yourself...and others.

Tried so many expensive products, but finally Reverse from Rodan & fields worked for me. Introduced to the line at a wine and cheese party and with the 60 day money back guarantee I decided why not see if this would take away sun damage. It worked!! I get compliments all the time on my great looking skin. I have been pleased by the texture and tone of my skin and I love these products. I started with the Reverse line, and then to Redefine with the eye cream and that roller and night serum. I am floored by the results. I don't know of any other company that lets you try for 60 days and if you don't like it, return it.

I'm sticking with plant based skin care, not comfortable with chemicals on my face or so close to my eyes with lash boost. In my opinion the company is overrated and overpriced. There are other products out there that make good clean skin care derived from only natural plants....again that's my opinion.

I've been a Mary Kay Consultant and looking at joining R+F now as well, and I have seen some very interesting comments about bad service. There is a way to do this kind of business and a way not too. Many people misinterpret the companies advice and they PReSSURE people to buy, out of a feeling of obligation, instead of coming from a place of "I have a great product to offer you, would you like to hear about and if you want, I can help you get started" or "hey, you look like the kind of person who would do great at this, would you like to try being a consultant?" We are sincere and genuine people who love our product and the opportunity. It's not for everyone, but be careful not to let your fears conjure up a huge wall so you can't see the sun through the clouds. R+F is a company based on all the good things we all love...not everyone is going to see that, and that is just life. If we can just change our perspective, and appreciate one another for who we really are, good people who are doing our best, but sometimes fail...we will all have a better experience here on earth.

I think the problems on here about bad service is the fact that people get overcharged and do not get refunds from the company that are promised in the allotted 60 day trial. I'm sure the consultants are nice and friendly as this MK seller is... I don't think it's the pushy approach of the consultants that is the real problem.

I agree with you that the company is mostly to blame. But, the consultants are not innocent.

Indeed they are the weapon for the crime. R&F failed miserably to sell directly to end users in a retail environment. They realized they needed a conduit to the end user customer. Basically, the company appeals to people who are somewhat desperate and somewhat undereducated.

These people become consultants because they buy the bs that the products are amazing and they will make lots of money. They then turn to their family and friends social media feeds and try to sell them the bs and so on and so on, etc. Meanwhile, the people at the top are making tons of money from your friends and relatives and 95% of all consultants fail to succeed.

R&F then just moved on to the next area or country. Rinse and repeat.
