This sounds like a sales tax issue involving who collects sales tax from the final consumer. See https://www.avalara.com/us/en/blog/2015/07/the-not-so-direct-rules-around-sales-tax-for-direct-sellers.html where it says: "For starters, who is responsible for reporting sales tax?

That depends. Some states require each independent consultant selling in that state to register to collect and remit sales tax. Others offer a tax collection agreement where the direct sales company can do this on behalf of their consultants. State rules vary on collection, reporting and remittance as well as on annual income, commissions and sales thresholds for compliance.

Direct selling organizations must also obtain reseller permits and track exemption certificates for any wholesale transactions to their independent consultants." Do you, as the consultant, collect and remit sales tax to your state when you sell your products to your customer? Do you give Rodan & Fields a sales tax resale certificate so that they do not charge you sales tax when you buy the product to sell to your customers?

As mentioned above, some states allow the direct sales company to file sales tax returns on behalf of their consultants instead of making the consultant register for sales tax, collect the tax, and then file monthly sales tax returns. If you are not filing sales tax returns, what is probably happening is that Rodan & Fields is filing the sales tax return for you, and collecting tax from you on the retail price of the items (not on the price they charge you for the item).

They did not tell you the products give a temporary result, only while using.

Your mom probably used this type of stuff on her hands.

Any permanent has to be a laser treatment.

Save your money for that.

Any more of this accelerates aging.

Would not cancel order

My friend is a rep for them and told me once i placed my order she would send me a free eye cream. Well turns out that is only for preferred customers, so she is not sending me an eye cream, so 16 minutes after I placed my order I tried to call and cancel it. The rep I talked to told me that he could only cancel my order within minutes of it being placed. Now I have to wait for it to come to me and then have fed ex send it back and I have to pay for the shipping. I would have never placed the order if my friend didnt tell me that i would get a free eye cream and now I am stuck dealing with this and have to pay for the shipping. This is a horrible company, do not order from them.

Sounds like maybe your consultant was new. After voicing your complaint, she should of offered to pay for your S&H.

We all live and learn by our mistakes. I certainly wouldn't want to lose a customer over S&H.

Absolutly untrue if the company willfully support the practices of its employee then the company takes full responsibility for actions conducted within and under their licenses... A great business with sound, respectable and honest business practices is definitely modeled after the owner or owners standards.

Good businesses reflect their owner values, principals, integrity as a human being. This company does not reflect nor model any of the above in many openions...

Rodan And Fields Reverse Regimen Review from Destin, Florida

Use and broke out my face in knots under skin!my rep kept calling them about my reaction and they told her on 4 occasions to keep using! On 5th called they told her to tell me to lay off products for a week and see if starts clearing! It did starts clearing up so they said to return! I did and they said I was 2 days out of the 60 days! I said I did what you asked and the week of not using made it go over two days! Fought over this for weeks the. They said to send in and get full refund! Sent tracking number kept Sayjng they did not receive even though it shows who and when signed! Went on for months and I told Them I needed money back for two dermatologist appts to get my skincleared up from their product! Now I have received email saying getting all but 30 back but sending in a check! Funny thing is I paid on my debit card why can't they refund and what's up shorting me 30! Plus as of today still not received my money act!

I would like to know more about this. I have used this product since July of 2015.

Starting to break out and started to use Sooth. Is has been almost 2 weeks and not cleared up yet and have not seen a dermatologist yet.

What should I do? And why can they sell this if we have to see a dermatologist to help clear this up?

I had an issue with this company..when I sent the products back and was assured that I'd get a "complete refund". At first I only got part of the refund because they wouldn't repay me for the "preferred" customer amount charged. However after talking to them, they paid me back all but the tax and the shipping charges I had with shipping the products back. Most companies will provide a sticker to return their products back to them postage free. I paid almost $10 to return the products. However I'm thankful that they paid most of it even if I had to pay shipping back to them for a product that I found I was very allergic to. I am NO LONGER upset with them as they at least tried to resolve this with me

REDEFINE

First off who doesn't send tracking information. All I got was an order number. They sent me two Redefine Regimens instead of the AMP it up Special. After a week they finally pick up the extra they sent me but have still not sent me my correct order I have paid for. I am so frustrated with this place. I paid $326.00 and only have $174.00 worth of products. What a joke. They claim I should get it by Monday and will send me tracking information tomorrow. If not, I getting my money back. As from what I have seen there are better products out there anyway. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I have been a customer with this company for a year and I can honestly tell you that I have had only positive experiences with the products and their customer service. In fact, a friend of mine had an issue with one of her tools that she bought almost a year ago and they sent her a brand new one in 2 days after they received hers back.

And she'd had it almost a year.

I think you might want to contact them again and give them another chance. I've referred many friends and family to this company to buy their skincare and everyone from our 76 yr old

to our youngest family member aged 10 sings the praises of the products and the company. The 76 yr old sent something back because she didn't know how to use it correctly and she got her money back within a week after shipping her box back.

And it was over 200.00 and there was no hassle or issue.

I know lots of people who have been customers for several years and none of them have been upset about a purchase or a return.

Your complaint is just unfortunate because it's not consistent with how Rodan and Fields does business.

Rodan And Fields Redefine Cream Review

I too can only get the redefine pm and day cream if I pay for a package I do not want or need. This gimmick enrages and will not keep me coming back. I will move on to another product manufacturer. Love my rep, too bad she works for the wrong company.

Wow, such negative reviews about customer service! First of all, Rodan and Fields is all about customer service.

All I can say is shame on your consultant. I would of personally paid out of my pocket for the shipping and handling. More importantly, I would of have went through the return process for my customer.

Not rocket science! Some people are meant to be consultants some are not!

Product unavailable. You're mixing chemicals, not building automobiles. How long can it take?

Had really gotten into the products and now I CAN'T GET THEM. This is so frustrating and have been given several availability dates which have all been lies. Like another customer I learned I could get the products if I bought the "kit" ... so there is product available, they just won't sell it individually. RIPOFF. Fortunately, my rep could accommodate my shortage for the time-being but if it's not corrected soon, I'm another lost customer. THIS IS NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. And to think my first impression over a year ago was that this was a first-class operation and I was lucky to find these products. HA! That opinion has certainly changed.

Love the products, but not in stock for over 8 weeks now! Customer Service phone and on-line service HORRIBLE!

Love the Redefine line, but have been trying to purchase refills for over 8 weeks now! I am cancelling my membership and going to the department store this afternoon! Two weeks ago I emailed about the product availability asking when they would become available. It took several days to get a reply! Yesterday I attempted to call, was passed around over and over again by the prompts, never getting to the "Leave Message" prompt. I kept calling back and trying different prompts to speak to a human being, after 30 minutes on hold I gave up and have now cancelled my membership! Terrible customer service!!!!!
