This is yet another sad R+F Story. The tactic you are describing with meeting the girl and thinking she actually wanted to be your friend is what they actually want you to do....make x amount of new contacts in a week....make your circle bigger.....look at friends of friends.

basically stalk people you don't even know and pretend that you want to befriend them just to get them to buy *** products. BEWARE.....RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

I have been friends with numerous Rodan & Fields individuals but I have never actually purchased their product because I have always felt like a number. Recently, I found out this was true. If you tell these people that you don't intend to work for them or buy from them they lash out in the most disturbing way, accusing you of not wanting them to achieve their dreams and then they throw you in the trash as though you are a nobody. They're only your friends until you choose not to support them monetarily. I will never purchase any of their products simply based on the way their representatives horribly treat people.

This is absolutely not true at all! You're basing that on one or two consultants that you've come across.

I am a consultant and yah know what? My entire team I didn't know until I started this and 75% of my customers are not family and friends. I am absolutely fine when friends and family do not want to try the products.

No harm done here. So please don't base your opinions on a bad experience, it's not fair to the rest of us that are being honest and genuine

That is all most of us are asking. You should also be honest and genuine with yourself...you are part of a pyramid scheme. The company is making millions on consultants who buy their own product. I support many MLM's, but RF uses unscrupulous biz practices.

You should never, ever sell something on the internet unless you give people the chance to opt out. This is especially true when it comes to Facebook. Your friends and family trust you. And, I'll bet very few of your friends and family post every day trying to get you to buy things from their place of work.

It is just wrong. It is also apparent that RF consultants "cut and paste" the messages sent out by the corporate Kool Aid maker. I'm sorry you feel victimized, but so many people can't be wrong. Don't even get me started on the before and after pics.

Maybe you should join another MLF, another company or start a real business with the integrity you say you have. Look at the reviews on this site or search Twitter (for example) for FB stalking.

Seems to be a common theme of most consultants in most MLMs. Usually a good idea not to mix money and friendships. Some people will do almost anything for money.

Me too! A friend convinced me to try it.She was selling it and assured me it was safe.

I didn't know about the ingredients that are banned in California!

My dermatologist reprimanded me and couldn't even treat me, other than to give me IS Clinical to heal my inflamed face. It worked, thank goodness.

Brought into Rodan and Fields reluctantly by a relative of a friend - told it was a no risk situation - I could return product within 60 days without a problem. As soon ask joined, I was inundated with emails and Facebook contacts, ALL about creating a downline. I resigned very shortly afterwards, feeling VERY uncomfortable with this process seeming to be the priority, as opposed to the product itself. I returned my kit with most product unopened, was refused a refund, and was referred to their policy for a reason. Is this a familiar experience to anyone else? I don't know about you, but I intend to get MY money back - what about you?

Scam / Pyramid

I sent the email below to an R&F Sales Support consultant after my credit card was charged $270 for an autoship order that I told my consultant I did not want. The order went through accidentally and then later got lost after my consultant tried to re-route the order back to R&Fs' warehouse. Also below my email, you can see how the customer support person originally answered my request for a refund. Really just completely could care less that I am out $270 for a product I never ordered...... Dear R&F, I have to say that I am very disappointed with the service I received from Rodan and Fields support representatives. When I pay top dollar for a product, I expect exceptional service, or at least above average service. Even Zappos and Amazon refund shipping charges if the error was on the part of the seller. And they do not charge the credit card until after the product is received. If you are going to charge the credit card when the order is processed, you better at least provide tracking information, require a signature and be able to stop processing before shipping. I do not feel like I was valued as a “preferred customer” or as a customer at all. It would have been very easy to stop processing or to send me a prepaid shipping label after the mistake was realized. And for all my trouble, at least offer an apology. Instead, I was blamed and ultimately paid for someone else's mistake. On top of all the hassle, the products I did order and receive were no different or better than any other high-end skincare products. I will not be asking my consultant for a refund. As you know, the reason people order these products in the first place is because they are pushed so heavily by relatives and friends who trust this company and are trying to make extra money for their family. It’s disgraceful that you put your customers and your own sales consultant in that kind of an awkward position. I will never again be swayed into buying a product from a consultant who offers auto-ship, preferred status or tries to recruit me into the “business”. All of these tactics are red-flags and usually spell scam. I was concerned before and now I am convinced that Rodan and Fields is just another lousy, pyramid scam of a company. I’m very sorry I ever fell for the hype and I will continue to make my feelings known whenever I am approached or find myself in a conversation about this company. Have a great day! Wow...I understand you frustration. I would be MAD for the response you received.

I am a consultant with R&F, love the products (yes they are expensive) and the team that I'm part of. I'm not out there trying to get recruits, but I do give the mini facial to my friends. I love the products, so I just want to see people happy with their skin. When our face, & hair looks good it makes us feel good.

So with that said YOUR consultant should have dealt with this and not you. She should have called the company and complained on your behave. Like you said, they should have sent a return label out to you, considering it was their mistake or consultants. Also The message you received was uncalled for.

It really blows my mind. Thank you for sharing but I truly want to apologize for a company that I thought was top notch. I still have faith in them, hoping against all hope that you got ahold of one and the only one in costumer service that does not care.

Just know if you ever want any R&F I would be glad to be your consultant.

I would love for you to have confidence in this company again because I truly believe in it. No it's not a miracle product but I do see a difference in my skin. I just started selling so I hope anyone I sell to, rather it be a retail customer or Perferred customer I treat them like I would like to be.

Why would they let you return a product that is outside their return limitation? Do me a favor, buy something from Clinique, use half of it, and then try to return it 4 or 5 months later. They will laugh you out of the store.

I would like to make a comment bout the "before and after" photos-my daughter started using this product about 2 months ago and it has made a HUGE difeference in her skin, completely eliminating the freckles and age spots on her face from many years of tanning beds. She has posted her B&A photos and they are not photo shopped or altered in any way.

I mean, how else do you show someone the results other than B&A photos? She was so impressed by the results that she now is a consultant as well. I started using this product last night for the first time so hopefully I will be posting some B&A photos in the next month or so.

Yes, it is pricey - but any good product that works is. Stay tuned!!!

These specials being offered for "new Preferred customers only" are being offered by your consultant. They are NOT corporate offered specials.

Your representative is paying for the promotions she is offering out of her pocket. these promotions she is offering probably use most or all of her commission, so it wouldn't be $ feasible to offer them to all customers all the time (or she would be giving away all her profit).

The corporate specials are available to new AND existing customers. They have summer promotions, BOGO on the sunless tanner, etc.

you will receive an email from Corp about these specials.

Typically with a new product release, existing customers ONLY will get early access to purchase the products (months before the public) and typically at wholesale pricing too :-).

This company is a complete joke and makes true skincare specialists like estheticians and dermatologists look bad. You have untrained, unlicensed sales reps peddling mediocre products as miracle products. They post fake before and after pictures, make false claims and ridiculous promises that aren't even close to what you can really achieve with the products. Im surprised this company is even in business and not fighting lawsuits 100% of the time. I've had actual R&F reps come to me and ask me to fix their skin so that they could sell more product. Absolute ***! I hope this pyramid company goes down sooner rather than later.
